Made by hand, the Sanctus Pledge Medallion is .3 oz of pure silver calling to mind the 30 pieces of silver that Judas traded to betray Christ. We all face the choice of Judas. Will we betray Christ for so little a reward as fleeting pleasure, honor, wealth, or power?
This necklace is worn by members of the fraternity and any Christian of goodwill to remind us to live by the Sanctus Code and that we have a choice to either betray Christ like Judas and suffer his same fate or to sacrifice ourselves for Him by willingly pursuing Holiness and living it out in the world.
The border of the design is taken directly from an ancient Roman coin reminding us to “Render unto Cesar what is Cesar’s and to God what is God’s” May those who wear these medallions live up to this sacred calling.
This handmade piece is 100% real silver with an aging patina on a double cord of 2mm Spanish leather.
