The Jerusalem Cross is a symbol of the kingdom of Jerusalem after the first crusade that liberated the city from Muhammadin control around the year 1100 AD. The meaning of this cross is to call to mind the five wounds of Christ inflicted upon our God and King on Golgotha just outside the city walls. Each wound is represented by an individual cross.
Today, in addition to the original meaning, it represents the ideals of authentic Catholic knighthood and the interior crusade. Be brave, be strong, be chivalrous, be educated, and above all be a saint. Keep the faith brothers.
