This beautiful stone rosary is made specifically for the benefit of The Okaja Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization based in Santa Paula, CA, founded by Muji Kaiser, a personal friend of ours. The mission of her foundation is to provide critical support to Catholic organizations serving children who are orphaned, vulnerable, or experiencing poverty through the distribution of grants and disbursement of essential child-care items. Among their efforts is included the ongoing support of the Divine Providence Home of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus, a Catholic order under the Sisters of Charity.
Proceeds from the purchase of this rosary will go to The Okaja Foundation to further their critical work in light of the terrible situation in Nigeria. As many Catholics are being martyred in the region for their faith, the number of orphan children has also spiked, making for a terrible increase of starvation of the young. The work of The Okaja Foundation is both timely and critical.
African Bloodstone was selected specifically for this project because of the trinity of colors inherent to the stone. Green and white are the primary colors, representing the flag of Nigeria, along with regions of deep red, representing the blood of the martyrs, of whom there are many more in the face of merciless aggression in the region today. The beauty of these 12mm stone beads makes for a bold way to bring the faith and witness of the brave Nigerian Catholics into the world.
Keep the Faith!
